How we source
We don't make anything. We choose.
Shiwalay doesn't cast bronze or roll incense. We find the family in Swamimalai, Mysore or Vrindavan who does it best, hold them to a written standard, and put our name on the box only when we can show you the maker, the town and the proof. If we can't show it, we don't sell it. This page is how you check us.
A note from the founder
Our name is on the box
Shiwalay is our family name. It means the abode of Shiva. When your own name is on every box, you become very careful about what goes inside it.
We are a small company in Mumbai, started in 2024 by two of us, Swapnil and Sarita Shiwalay. We don't manufacture anything. What we do is choose: the workshop, the material, the proof. Then we put our name next to that choice, and answer for it.
So here is what you can hold us to. Every listing tells you what the thing is made of and where it comes from. If what arrives is damaged, wrong or not what we described, we replace it or refund you within seven days. And when you write to us, a person reads it and replies.
If we ever fall short of that, write to me directly. I'm also the grievance officer, so it lands on my desk.

Every listing says which of these it came through, so you know who made it, who tested it and what Shiwalay added before it reached you.

GI tags
Swamimalai bronze, Nachiarkoil lamps, Thanjavur painting, Pattachitra, Cuttack filigree and Kannauj attar are sold with their Geographical Indication shown.
BIS hallmark
Every gold and silver piece is hallmarked and its purity declared. Metalware carries its weight on the listing.
Energisation on video
Pran pratishtha at Kashi in your name, recorded and sent before the parcel arrives. Never claimed, always shown.
Licences
Ayurvedic products from AYUSH-licensed makers. Edibles and prasad from FSSAI-registered kitchens.
What we refuse
No ivory, hatha jodi, siyar singhi, tiger claw, turtle shell or restricted corals. Parad only from licensed Ayurvedic refiners, with disclaimers.
