A mandir is an altar and a piece of furniture, and it has to stand a monsoon and a lamp's heat. Sheesham from Saharanpur and marble from Jaipur, carved to order and sent straight from the workshop. Send us a photo of the wall or the corner and we'll size it with you on WhatsApp.

Before you choose
A home mandir is an altar, but it is also a piece of furniture, and it has to be built like one. Solid wood, joints that survive a Mumbai monsoon, and a back that can stand a lamp's heat. Ours come from named workshops in Saharanpur, in sheesham that darkens slowly and handsomely over the years.
01
On the wall or on the floor
A wall mandir saves floor space and puts the murti at eye level when you sit. A floor mandir on a chowki suits a room kept for puja.
02
Leave room for the lamp
Keep at least 30 cm clear above where the diya sits. Sheesham handles the heat. Laminate and MDF do not.
03
Measure your murtis first
Take your tallest murti and add 8 cm. That is the shelf height you need. Our listings give the inside height, not just the outside size.
