A complete first altar fits in the one box. We write the card by hand, with your message.
Someone you love has just moved into a first flat and there is no altar yet. This box holds one: a 3-inch brass Ganesha, a brass diya, agarbatti and a tilak set. We assemble it in Mumbai, pack it in the Shiwalay box and write your message on the card by hand. It weighs 2.2 kg and measures 32 × 26 × 14 cm.
Ganesha is worshipped before anything else begins, so a first altar usually starts with him and a lamp. This box is how families hand that start to someone setting up a new home: a small Ganesha, a diya to light each evening, agarbatti and tilak for the daily offering. It is given at griha pravesh, weddings and annaprashan, and at Diwali to people who live far from their parents' mandir.
