7-Day Courage Ritual
Seven mornings with Hanuman: the Chalisa, a red flower, and one thing you've been avoiding, faced before the day is out.
The spirit of this practiceHanuman's strength was never for himself; it was for Ram, and for others. The spirit of this practice is courage in service: doing the hard thing because someone needs it done.
Your progress is saved to your account. Your notebook lines stay on this phone only. A missed day never resets the count.
A week-long version of the 21-Day Courage Ritual: the Hanuman Chalisa each morning, and five acts of courage. Move your body, have the small conversation, say no, admit a mistake, and start the task you've been avoiding.
It doesn't promise to remove fear. It's a week of facing small things, which is how courage grows.
A reminder every day, in your own calendar
The same time each day is most of the practice. Choose yours; the reminder repeats for 7 days and opens today's step.
The daily routine
About 15 minutes, the same every day.
- 1
Light the lamp
Before Hanuman, with a red flower at his feet. Stand or sit straight.
- 2
The Chalisa
Read the Hanuman Chalisa once, aloud if you can, from the opening doha to the last. About eight minutes.
- 3
Name it
In the notebook: the one thing you have been avoiding that you will face today. Write it plainly.
- 4
Bow and go
Fold your hands, touch the floor, and get up. The act comes before the day ends.
- 5
At night
One line in the notebook: did you face it, and what happened.
Day by day
01Begin
Say the sankalp. Write the one thing you've been avoiding most. You don't have to face it today; just name it.
Closing, on the last day
- The Chalisa seven times. Read the Hanuman Chalisa seven times.
- Offering. Jaggery, chana and a red flower, shared afterwards.
- Next. Keep the morning Chalisa, or begin the 21-Day Courage Ritual.
The rules
- The act comes the same day.
- Courage is not recklessness. Nothing here asks you to put anyone at risk.
- A missed day doesn't break the ritual. Continue the next morning.
Quick answers
Should I do the 7-day or the 21-day ritual?
Seven days is a good first step. The 21-day ritual adds sixteen more acts and builds the habit properly.
Will it remove my fears?
It doesn't promise that. It gives you a daily practice with Hanuman and small acts of courage, which make fear smaller with time.
A practice of attention and order. Nothing here promises an outcome.
