Why it's traditionally used
On Diwali evening, at Amavasya, families worship Lakshmi together with Ganesha, who is honoured first at every puja. The vidhi moves through kalash sthapana, offerings such as kamal gatta, the lotus seed dear to Lakshmi, and the lighting of diyas, and ends in aarti. This kit holds the samagri for that sequence, in the order the booklet follows.
How to use
- Set the chowki facing east on Amavasya evening.
- Follow the 16-step vidhi in the booklet.
Care
- Wipe dry after every aarti; water spots become tarnish within a day.
- Clean monthly with pitambari or tamarind pulp, rinse, and dry with a soft cloth.
- Keep lacquered pieces away from flame and abrasives; the coating is what keeps them bright.
In the box
- 42 items
