Every flask carries its collection date on the base. We would rather ship a smaller batch than send water without a date.
Turn the flask over and the date is stamped on the base: the morning this water was drawn at Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi. It is filtered and sealed that same morning in a hand-beaten copper flask that holds 250 ml. A collection certificate comes in the box, so you know where and when your Gangajal was drawn.
Gangajal is used for shuddhi: a few drops sprinkled over the altar, the samagri and yourself before a puja begins. Water from Kashi, Shiva's own city, is kept for abhishek of the Shivling, above all on the Mondays of Sawan and on Mahashivratri. Families also keep a flask for griha pravesh and mundan, where a few drops are customary.
In-stock items leave our fulfilment partner within 24 hours, with tracking on WhatsApp. Made-to-order pieces ship from the workshop, tracked the same way. If what arrives is damaged, wrong or not what this page describes, we replace it or refund you within 7 days of delivery; certified items are re-verified on return, so the proof you paid for stays honest. Read the shipping and returns policies.
